dock.net's VirtualFAX product allows you to send faxes from your destop to any fax number simply by sending an email. Pricing is as follows:

One VirtualFAX DID (Direct in Dial) with unlimited incoming and outgoing faxes in US and Canada.
With this option all faxes will come
into a central mailbox and be manually distributed throughout your organ-ization. However, everybody in the organization will be able to send faxes via email.* Cost is $10 per month.

Multiple VirtualFAX DIDs allow key people in your organization to have their own fax number and have incoming faxes delivered to their email box. Each person can also have their own indvidualized cover sheet. Each DID includes unlimited incoming and outgoing faxes in Canada and the
US.* Cost is $10 per DID.
