Fiber Optics is delivered over a brand new network of fiber being rolled our across the US. As you read this, more and more areas are being lit.
What to Expect
If your area has been lit with fiber, after you place an order, the phone company will come out and install the equipment on the side of your building (or in the phone locker of mulitenant office buildings). A standard ethernet cable is then extended to the location of your choice inside the building. During this process, the phone company will also point your connection to us. At that point, it is ready to go. All you need to do is hook up a router and plug in your equipment. Expect Internet speeds you have never experienced before.
What Equipment do I need
Fiber Optics is delivered on a standard ethernet cable. All you need to get going is a garden variety broadband router, such as a Linksys or D-link router. If you have broadband now, there is a good chance you already have what you need.
